In honor of Frank Ocean’s 34th birthday, I’m sharing a past Medium story where I wrote about the impact Ocean’s debut album “Channel Orange” had on my life.

In the article, I wrote, “In Channel Orange, Frank Ocean wasn’t afraid to rip his heart out of his chest, slam it on the table, and let you watch it beat.”

I also share love for other impactful albums, including SZA’s “CTRL”.
